School Visits

Jacqueline Leigh believes in educating our children through fun, entertaining, and interactive readings. She encourages students to not only study in class but to enjoy leisure reading in their free time.

Jacqueline offers author readings from preschool to fifth grade, with each grade having its own unique approach.  The younger crowd will enjoy hearing the story from the author herself and getting their hands dirty with a craft. The older students will tap into their own creativity and understand the writing process.

If you are interested in having Jacqueline Leigh visit your school, fill out the form below. The author will provide the school with a pre-order form to send home with students. This allows students to bring their book to the reading and have it signed by the author.

“Thank you SO much for your visit yesterday morning. The entire grade level enjoyed your visit and the teachers have not stopped talking about how great you were! We appreciate you taking the time to visit, tell us about your journey and how you continue to write based upon small moments. This was great for the kids to hear as we continue into our school year and focus on how to be great writers.”

“Hearing Jacqueline Boeheim speak was a wonderful experience for my students. Not only did she talk to them about her job as a children’s author, but she also taught them about critical life skills like perseverance and bravery. She encouraged my students to take risks and never give up. She did a wonderful job engaging all of the students in my school, from kindergarten to 5th grade. I’d thoroughly recommend her!”

Alexis Kagel, Music Teacher, Hortons Creek Elementary

“Author Jacqueline Leigh brought in a really impressive crowd last Saturday, and one would have never guessed that it was her first ever book signing!

Ms. Leigh filled the room from the moment she walked forward.  She engaged the crowd from the beginning by asking them about their own dreams and sharing some of her own.  She set the stage by introducing characters Ford and Red and giving a little description of each, and as she read the book she totally became Ford and Red.  The audience was hanging on her every word as they waited on the edge of their seats to find out where the characters’ dreams would take them next.  She took the audience along the journey with Ford and Red commanded their attention with every page.

It was quite obvious this book was a labor of love for Ms. Leigh, and it is evident that her heart and soul is on every single page.”
